the love you make = the love you take

don’t limit the celebration of love to just valentine’s day. love is too precious and special. celebrate love everyday!

small acts of love are so simple yet speak volumes: a hug, a kiss on the cheek, a random call/text message to say hello, a smile, a home-cooked dinner, a morning hike together, a coffee run to philz, or just hangin’ out on the couch together watching tv.

love on valentine’s day isn’t just about romance. love extends and lives in every relationship in different ways. a love between a mother and daughter, father and son, husband and wife. it manifests in friendships and when you do something for a stranger. there is so much love in the world, it’s a matter of genuinely and fearlessly opening our hearts to it.

The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched. They must be felt with the heart. – Helen Keller

my favorite yoga poses for an open heart:

uttana shishosana (extended puppy pose) – heart opening towards the earth

you know you see your dog do this every now and then

urdhva mukha svanasana (upward-facing dog) – heart opening towards the sky

mmm... heart up, shoulders down

urdhva dhanurasana (wheel pose) – open your heart possibilities of life and love… not just because it’s valentine’s day, but because it brings happiness and a smile to your face!

wheel pose. weeee!!!
